Re: At what age should a person first be tested for HIV?
Greetings! We recommend that a person should first be tested for HIV 3 months after the date they believe they may have been exposed to HIV/AIDS. The 4 fluids HIV is transmitted through is: Blood, Semen, Vaginal Fluids, and Breastmilk. If an individual has been exposed to any of these fluids, we recommend having an HIV test 3 months after that initial exposure and then a follow up 3 months later so they can fully cover their 6 month window period. Please respond back and let me know if this helps you or if you have any follow up questions! Thank you!
